Each collar can be assigned to an individual animal record. Operators can organize animals by herd or pasture, check their latest reported locations and review available movement history. This supports daily tasks such as locating dispersed animals, planning collection routes and checking movements between grazing areas.

Solar-assisted charging and a 20,000mAh rechargeable battery support outdoor deployment. Configurable positioning and reporting intervals allow the operating profile to be matched to pasture conditions, network availability and maintenance arrangements.

Geofence functions help operators identify reported movements outside designated areas. Activity records provide additional context for animal observation and pasture-use analysis. These records support management decisions but do not independently provide a veterinary diagnosis.

Communication configurations include cellular and LoRa-based options, selected according to the project. Cellular versions require compatible mobile coverage. LoRaWAN versions require appropriate gateway coverage and network infrastructure. Collar size, weight, strap adjustment and attachment position must be evaluated for the intended species and animal size before deployment.

What is a GPS livestock collar used for$1

It provides reported animal locations and supported monitoring records for locating livestock, reviewing movements and managing grazing areas.

Can one collar fit cattle, sheep and horses$2

Suitability depends on weight, collar dimensions, fastening and animal size. Each species and size group requires a fitting assessment. A cattle collar should not be assumed suitable for smaller animals.

Does every animal need a collar$3

Individual tracking requires a device assigned to each monitored animal. Collaring selected animals does not establish the location of every untracked herd member.

Does the collar require a SIM card$4

Cellular versions require an active compatible service. LoRaWAN collars communicate through compatible gateways; a gateway may use a SIM for its own backhaul.

Can it operate without mobile coverage$5

A cellular version cannot provide live uploads without service. A LoRaWAN deployment may work if gateway coverage and a connection to the remote platform are available.

How long does the 20,000mAh battery last$6

Runtime depends on location frequency, uploads, sunlight, signal and enabled functions. Estimate with an agreed operating profile and field measurements.

Does solar charging remove all maintenance$7

Can it measure body temperature$10

Readings depend on sensor type and placement. An enclosure-mounted sensor does not automatically measure core body temperature; any claim requires suitable sensing and validation.

How quickly are boundary alerts delivered$11

Timing depends on positioning intervals, upload schedules, communication and platform processing. Account for delays when defining boundaries and response procedures.

Can the platform show multiple herds and pastures$12

Herd grouping, pasture filters and time views can be included in the configured platform; confirm the required structure during planning.
