01 / OVERVIEW

Overview

Field-ready hardware, documented deployment and engineering support from NEXA.

Shenzhen Jinshengchang Technology Co., Ltd. develops and manufactures cattle GPS collars for ranch operators, livestock solution providers and agricultural equipment distributors. The JSC-805 series combines satellite positioning, wireless communication and a livestock management platform to help users locate cattle and monitor pasture activity.

Designed for outdoor grazing environments, the collar supports solar-assisted charging and a rechargeable battery. Configurable positioning and reporting intervals allow project teams to balance location visibility, communication traffic and power consumption.

Users can view reported locations, review movement history and manage geofence alerts through a web platform or mobile application. Activity data can help identify cattle that require closer observation, while low-battery and offline alerts support routine device maintenance.

Communication options can be selected according to the deployment environment. Cellular versions use supported mobile networks, while LoRa-based configurations require compatible gateways and network infrastructure. Hardware configuration and platform integration are confirmed for each project.

Jinshengchang also provides OEM/ODM services for customers developing branded cattle tracking products or integrating livestock collars into an existing agricultural platform.

“Solar-powered GPS/BeiDou cattle collar for location, geofence alerts and pasture activity monitoring, with 4G or LoRa options and OEM/ODM support.”

03 / DEPLOYMENT

Deployment

Field-ready hardware, documented deployment and engineering support from NEXA.

01

Define the objective

Confirm the number of cattle, pasture area and daily management objectives.

02

Select connectivity

Choose 4G or LoRa based on local mobile coverage or gateway availability.

03

Confirm network parameters

Confirm cellular bands, SIM requirements or LoRa network parameters.

04

Test coverage

Test communication across grazing areas, water points, shelters and terrain changes.

05

Bind animal records

Assign each collar to the correct animal record in the management platform.

06

Adjust the fit

Adjust the collar to animal size and check for rubbing or restricted movement.

07

Install the device

Position the device per guidance and keep the solar panel exposed where practical.

08

Configure reporting

Set positioning intervals, reporting schedules and alert thresholds.

09

Draw geofences

Add margins for positioning variation and reporting delays.

10

Pilot, then expand

Verify location, history and alerts, then expand after a supervised pilot.

Typical schedule: samples 7–10 days; volume projects 15–45 days depending on configuration and certification.

06 / FAQ

FAQ

Field-ready hardware, documented deployment and engineering support from NEXA.

Are you a cattle GPS collar manufacturer$1
Yes. Shenzhen Jinshengchang Technology Co., Ltd. develops and manufactures livestock tracking devices and supports OEM/ODM projects, firmware configuration and platform integration.
Does the collar require a SIM card$2
Cellular versions require a compatible SIM card and supported mobile network service. LoRa collars communicate through compatible gateways; the gateway may require a SIM card if it uses cellular backhaul.
Can I use it without mobile coverage$3
A cellular collar cannot upload data where coverage is unavailable. A LoRa deployment may be suitable if gateway coverage and a working backhaul can be established; test coverage on site.
How long does the battery last$4
Runtime depends on reporting settings, signal strength and sunlight. Frequent positioning, weak signals and limited sun increase charging and maintenance needs. Confirm the reporting profile before requesting an estimate.
Will I be alerted if cattle leave the pasture$5
Yes. Geofences can be configured in the platform. Alert timing depends on positioning intervals, upload schedules, network availability and notification settings.
Does every collar include virtual fencing$6
No. Standard location tracking and virtual fencing are different configurations. Audible cues and electrical-pulse functions must be specified when selecting the version.
Can activity data diagnose illness$7
Activity data can highlight changes that deserve observation. It does not provide a medical diagnosis or directly measure heart rate, respiration or core body temperature unless dedicated sensors are included.
Can I connect the collars to my own platform$8
Integration can be evaluated using the required protocol, data fields, server architecture and command functions. Confirm these before sample testing.
What information is needed for a quotation$9
Please provide the destination country, number of cattle, pasture size, network coverage, desired reporting interval, platform requirements and any virtual-fencing or customization needs.
Technical details and long-form articles are currently provided in English.
