Compact design for indoor sensor networks. 8-channel LoRaWAN with Semtech SX1302. One external LoRa antenna on the current hardware version. Ethernet connectivity with optional cellular backhaul. Desktop, wall and ceiling installation. External network server or embedded server operation. MQTT, HTTP and HTTPS integration. Remote configuration through supported Milesight platforms.

The Milesight UG63 is a compact indoor LoRaWAN gateway designed to connect wireless sensors and compatible end devices to an IoT network.

It is suitable for small premises, individual monitoring areas and supplementary coverage within larger buildings. Its compact enclosure supports discreet installation in offices, retail spaces, campuses and parking facilities.

The UG63 can operate with an external LoRaWAN network server or use its embedded server for a small local deployment. The operating mode should be selected according to device quantity, reporting traffic and platform architecture.

This is a supply and integration page. UG63 is a Milesight-branded product; the exact hardware version, regional model and firmware are confirmed at order.

Does UG63 require a SIM$1

Only the optional cellular configuration requires a suitable SIM service when cellular backhaul is used.

Can the embedded server manage 2,000 devices$2

No. The current datasheet specifies a maximum of 20 devices for the embedded network server. The approximately 2,000-device reference applies to forwarding operation and depends on traffic.

Can UG63 be installed outdoors$3

UG63 has an IP30 enclosure and is intended for indoor deployment. Select a suitable outdoor gateway for exposed locations.

Does the gateway provide indoor positioning$4

No. Indoor positioning requires compatible end devices, infrastructure and positioning software; the gateway provides the LoRaWAN link.

Is PoE built into the Ethernet port$5

The documented PoE supply method for this version uses a PoE splitter. Confirm the supplied version and accessories before installation.

Can third-party LoRaWAN sensors connect$6

Compatible devices can be evaluated when regional settings, LoRaWAN operation and payload integration match the selected network.
